YARDMAN/TRUCK DRIVER

The Yardman/Truck Driver position with K&T Irrigation carries a variety of opportunities and responsibilities in the irrigation industry. This position contributes to the success of K&T Irrigation's day-to-day operations and assists the Field Service Team. This position is also dedicated to safety, quality and efficiency.

Some Candidate Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

  • Yard projects and organization
  • Assist with yard and parking lot maintenance
  • Assist with general labor when needed
  • Unloading incoming parts and products
  • Loading and unloading irrigation structure and components
  • Assisting with general maintenance of company assets such as vehicles, equipment and buildings
  • Hauling irrigation products and heavy equipment to job sites
  • Hauling grain project equipment and product deliveries

Candidates must be eager to learn and actively seek to master the projects they are assigned to.

The Estimated Position Breakdown Is:

  • 50% Yard/Shop Work
  • 25% Trucking/Traveling
  • 25% Field Work

Education & Work Experience:

  • Operating heavy equipment
  • Ability to follow instruction, meet expectations and work long hours outside
  • Working in a team environment
  • Irrigation and grain bin site experience not necessary

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid Class A CDL
  • Must be able to work overtime during peak season
  • Must be willing to overnight if out of town traveling
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform direct physical effort
