FIELD SERVICE TECH

The Field Service Tech is a critical position with K&T Irrigation. During the irrigation season, this individual is responsible for wiring new installations and responding to service calls. Our irrigation season runs from April through the end of August. Service calls include electrical, mechanical, and structural issues with customer’s center irrigation pivots, pumps, telemetry software, and other irrigation components.

During the grain season the Field Service Tech is responsible for assisting with new installations of grain dryers, augers, legs, and other grain conveyance equipment. Grain site service calls are also a large part of the Field Service Tech’s job description.

Agricultural experience is helpful, but not necessary. K&T Irrigation provides industry and on the job training.

Education & Work Experience:

  • Must have strong mechanical background
  • Must have a solid understanding of basic electrical theory
  • Experience working independently and over the road
  • The ability to follow instructions, meet expectations, and work long hours outdoors
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Must be over 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work substantial overtime during peak seasons
  • Must be willing to overnight out of town during peak seasons (4 nights a week avg.)
